A shocking video has been posted online showing and example of how thieves attach the card skimming device to an ATM machine in Bali
‘Attention! This is how they are skimming your ATM card. Found in Ubud Monkey Forest! Beware always guys.’ the caption to the video reads.
Earlier this year four Romanians were arrested in Bali for running an ATM card skimming operation.
‘We arrested all the suspects in Pecatu, South Kuta,’ Bali Police general crime director Sr. Comr. Andi Fairan told a press conference at the time.
In that case the group was alleged to have placed hidden cameras inside ATM along with a card skimming device.
Once the card data was captured, police say, the group made fake cards and used the existing PINs.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest this video is connected to that case.
Professor Allan Manning, founder and executive chairman of insurance company LMI Group, agen bola warned those travelling to Bali should only use ATMs inside banks.
Mr Manning said on his blog that some machines at mini marts will swallow credit cards.
He explained that after reporting the error to the shop owner, the owner will suggest putting in a pin number to retrieve the card.
‘You can imagine what happens, as soon as you enter your pin, all the money in the account, or your daily limit at least, is charged and you do not get your card back, or any money,’ Mr Manning wrote.
He said that those visiting Bali should only ever use ATM machines that are inside banks and not convenience stores.
